Dr. Jeffrey Bohn

Senior Advisor - Energy Transition & Quantitative Research

Dr. Jeffrey Bohn is a global expert in credit risk, quantitative modeling, and applied machine learning, with over two decades of leadership in financial innovation. He has held senior roles at major institutions, including Chief Research & Innovation Officer at the Swiss Re Institute and Chief Science Officer at State Street Global Exchange, where he led initiatives in risk analytics and capital markets research.

He previously established State Street’s Portfolio Analytics and Valuation Department in Japan, led PwC’s Risk and Regulatory Practice in Tokyo, and held executive positions at Standard Chartered Bank, Shinsei Bank, and Moody’s KMV, where he directed global credit research.

Dr. Bohn currently serves as Senior Advisor to the Anthropocene Institute, where he focuses on energy transition and nuclear innovation, advising strategy, investment evaluation, and research related to sustainable finance and advanced energy systems.

He is an affiliated researcher at U.C. Berkeley’s Center for Risk Management Research and serves on advisory boards including EPFL’s Center for Digital Trust and NYU Abu Dhabi’s Engineering Industry Advisory Council. He lectures on financial engineering at U.C. Berkeley, NUS, and Tokyo University.
